Health Research
We work in partnership with the Clinical Research Network (CRN) South London who are part of the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research.) The CRN South London are hosted by Guy’s and St. Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust and provide support to facilitate research in primary care. Research is an important part of healthcare. It is used to learn more about certain illnesses and to identify the most effective way of treating patients.
We work with other NHS Trusts, universities and charities to offer the opportunity for our patients to take part in research studies that they may find interesting. The practice has a research nurse (Gil Foster) who would be happy to answer any questions you have about research. The practice has been involved in a variety of studies involving - diabetes management, shingles, kidney disease, depression, statins and many more.
Brigstock and South Norwood Partnership are currently supporting vital COVID 19 research. As part of this, we are helping to carry out a national priority research study called PRINCIPLE. If you have symptoms of COVID 19, are aged 65 or over, OR are aged 50-64 and have an existing health condition, you may be eligible to join this important study. If you'd like to discuss taking part in PRINCIPLE, please contact the trial team on 0800 138 0880 or register for the trial directly HERE
Please CLICK HERE for full details of this study. If you'd like to know more about COVID 19 research and how you can contribute, please visit the Be Part of Research site, which is run by the National Institute for Health Research.
